I love dentistry because every single patient is different. Every day presents a new challenge, and I find joy in meeting those challenges.
The relationships that I am able to build over time with my patients are very important to me. They’re so much more than just patients—they are my friends, family, and neighbors—and are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
I graduated from high school in Denver and went to college at
. To fulfill my dream of becoming a dentist, I returned to the mainland and attended New York University College of Dentistry, to obtain my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I completed my general practice residency at in New York.Since graduation, I have attended the Engel Institute and the IADI Fellowship for advanced dental implant training. This high level of training and education enables me to offer the latest advances and technologies. I am also a member of several professional organizations that provide continuing education opportunities throughout the year, including:
- IADI — International Academy of Dental Implantology (Fellowship)
IADI is a continued education organization that strives to provide the highest-quality dental implant education and hands on experience to dentists all around the world.
- Engel Institute - Advanced Dental Implant Training
I have been truly blessed with a family that means the world to me. My wife and I have a boy who is six years old now. Spending time with my family is most rewarding to me, but I also enjoy traveling when the opportunity presents itself.
Giving back to my community is also very important to me. Every year I go on a ten-day mission trip to provide services to children and adults who have little access to dental care. I consider it a privilege to help people to smile more, and gain such satisfaction from seeing so many smiles during my trips. Now that we’ve settled in Grand Rapids, I look forward to offering free dental service days to reach out to our community, too.
